  Kindred Fare is a breakthrough restaurant for the growing wine region of the Finger Lakes. It has the feel of a french bistro mixed with a California wine country tavern. Casual, comfortable and with a menu that changes continually with the seasons and local food supplies. The best items linger and mix with seasonal and new offerings, allowing frequent visits for the locals. The bar has a great wine selection with local wines paired with European and world varietals that make a global wine tour possible on a range of offerings. Cocktails are good too. Locals enjoy sitting at the chef's bar, overlooking the open line so you can watch the creations as they are created. A Food Channel experience but with the chef willing to answer the occasional question as you watch the techniques. The restaurant is not located in a bucolic, lake-side location, but you won't notice that once you're inside enjoying fresh, creative food not slathered in butter and cheese. The chef here is an artist, raising the culinary tide for this region.
